Call for Proposals

It gives us great pleasure to invite you to submit your proposals to the 22ndAnnual NileTESOL Conference which will be held on January 23 and 24, 2018, at the New Cairo Campus of the American University in Cairo, Egypt. The theme of the conference this year is “Excellence: Students and Educators in Pursuit of Life-long Learning.”

The following sessions, namely the 45-minute presentations and 90-minute workshops, in addition to the “20×20” event will be offered. In addition, we are introducing “Lightning Talks”. These are short 20 minute presentations given one after another in which the presenters illustrate their ideas or research. The talk is accompanied by a brief power point. Several presentations happen sequentially in the same room with the audience hearing one presentation at a time. At the end of the presentations, a brief period for questions is given. This type of session gives the audience a chance to attend multiple presentations in the same venue.

The deadline for receipt of proposals is October 15, 2017. Kindly submit your proposal to our conference proposal submission page located at

You will need to create an account, a username and password to enter your proposal on the website. If you want to submit more than one proposal, you will need to create more than one account on the website, using a different username and password which are both different from the presenter’s name.

Please find attached the conference flyer.

We look forward to receiving your conference proposals and seeing you at the conference!
