NileTESOL is pleased to announce accepting proposals to present at the NileTESOL 29th International Annual Conference (January 31st – February 1st, 2025)
This yearโs conference theme is:

Conference topics may include but are not limited to:
- Promoting a growth mindset for both learners and teachers
- Encouraging language practice through apps or gamification
- Learning from successful learning models
- Using open resources for educational purposes
- Reinforcing learner autonomy
- Employing alternative assessment methods
- Applying different methods/techniques to inspire learners
- Exploring means of professional development for teachers
- Inspiring students to become better learners
- Improving material development by considering studentsโ input
- Overcoming challenges facing students and teachers
- Building a healthy teacher-student relationship
- Promoting learner and teacher well-being
Guidelines for Proposal Submission
Please read the information below before beginning the submission process. All submissions are received through the online submission form on this link. No email submissions will be considered.
To be considered for the conference, your presentation must follow the criteria and guidelines below:
- The title of your presentation (3-10 words)
- A session abstract that reflects the content, theoretical background as well as practical implications (200-250 words)
- A summary of your session to be included in the program book for conference attendees to learn about your session (40-50 words)
- A bio that demonstrates your professional and/or scholarly expertise in the topic of your presentation (25-30 words)
- Citations, if any, must be included using APA. Citations are not included in the proposal word count.
- Promotion of private businesses is strictly prohibited
- Using Artificial Intelligence (AI) to generate a session proposal (or parts of it) will result in disqualifying the proposal.
The selection of the proposals is made by the NileTESOL Organizing Committee. Any proposal that does not follow the above-mentioned guidelines or word count will be discarded. You will be emailed the results of the selection by the end of November 2024.

Presenters will be invited after the conference to submit their manuscripts for publication in the conference proceedings.

Note: Payment includes the certificates.
Session types
- Presentation (30 minutes including Q&A): Sharing knowledge/experience/tasks/practice/research
(maximum two co-presenters)
- Workshop (75 minutes including Q&A) Sharing practical techniques and skills
(maximum three co-presenters)
- Poster Session (a 10-minute presentation repeated for the duration of an hour): Sharing E-posters/Digital Infographics (one presenter per poster)
